Bailey Bond, Acting President JCI Illawarra and his team, presented a stellar event at SmartSpace last night, facilitating the coming together of the Leadership Illawarra Program MentorMe cohort with their own group of young leaders and their mentors. JCII and LIP run concurrent programs, and the Mid way and graduation events are therefore combined. Nicki Bowman, facilitator and leadership expert kindly accepted the call to inspire and educate as our guest speaker for the evening. Nicki has developed a 7 part leadership framework based on her two decades of leadership roles at Board and executive level, as well as extensive research into what makes a leader great. Last night Nicki focused on one of the key elements of the framework - the need for leaders to convey purpose. You can read more about Nicki here https://www.nickibowman.com/ https://www.nickibowman.com/ Matt Bailey closed out the event with a vote of thanks on behalf of the mentees, giving thanks for the time and knowledge being shared by the mentors, and sharing his own personal appreciation of the success of his mentoring partnership at this mid-way stage, and encouraging the cohort to continue along their own.
